The Columbia in St. Augustine may be good for some dishes, but I found the Paella to be poor. I have had this, one of my favorite dishes, in Spain and numerous US restaurants. My daughter-in-law was with me, she was born in Madrid and is Spanish, and she agreed that it was the worst she had ever had also. It was very greasy and soupy. I did eat at their restaurant in Tampa later and had a chicken dish. It was better.

Leonora, I highly recommend Columbia restaurant in the "old town" part of St. Augustine. Yes, it’s a Florida "chain", but I think the food is incredible.

Go to Dukes BBQ in Walterboro SC. Their BBQ Sauce is mustard based and they have a buffet too.

Driving from Yorktown, VA to Miami. Between then, we will need to stop in South Carolina for lunch and Jacksonville or St. Augustine for dinner. We usually eat at an ok place in Santee; it’s name escapes me, but they have good fried chicken. I want something different this time. Then where should we eat in Jacksonvile/St. Augustine.
I know for the trip back, we’re doing Savannah–Mrs. Wilke’s Boarding House and/or Elizabeth on 37th or 47th or wherever it is. I’ve done Mrs. Wilkes’s and it is all that but have never done Elizabeth’s.
