Estia: Best Greek Food in the Cape

Review by: Haley Ali

Located in Falmouth and Mashpee, MA, this delicious restaurant offers a modern twist to traditional Greek food. Estia has a wide range of options makes for an enjoyable experience, as you can try a variety of savory and sweet dishes. They serve amazing Greek bread at the table, which was so good we had to ask for more! Estia can be described as a refreshing, natural, and modern restaurant that offers a clean and casual dining experience.  Although this restaurant trends in a more pricey option it would be a perfect place to try something not typical to the area of Cape Cod, MA.  If you can ever get sick of a lobster roll or clam chowder and need something a little different this place is a great choice.

What to eat at Estia in Falmouth and Mashpee, MA

Coal Fired Wings

Refreshing lemon and scallions paired with caramelized onions and the coal fired taste of the wings. Tip: ask for them well done for extra crispiness!! This was my favorite dish by far and I can’t wait to go back and try them again. Chicken wings with lemon are a traditional greek recipe, but here they offer a modern and refreshing take by adding scallions and caramelized onion to tie it all together.

Stelios Pizza

This pizza has a subtle but delicious flavor. The toppings are fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, prosciutto, artichokes, and fire roasted red peppers. Although it may seem like a lot, these flavors all come together to make for a sophisticated yet simple taste.

Sweet Potato Fries

Sweet Potato Fries with honey and feta provide a perfect mix of salty and sweet. The contrast of the two flavors makes for an amazing balance; while the honey makes them sweet, the feta acts as an equilibrium to bring your taste buds back to neutral.

Grilled Lamb Lollipops

The Grilled Lamb Lollipops are marinated with fresh herbs, which makes them have a bit of a lighter and refreshing taste. They are served with tzatziki on the side, which masks the strong marinade on the lamb and balances out the flavor.

Greek Salad

This Greek salad is unique in that it is a traditional one, meaning it has no lettuce, although the way it is presented is very innovative. The combination of the simple flavors and creative, colorful presentation makes for a nice, light and refreshing salad.

Estia means hearth, the symbol of one’s home. Their welcoming atmosphere provides a sense of comfort, and their amazing food exposes the community to new variations of classic recipes that they’ve always known. Each dish has a combination of unique flavors, both salty and sweet, to create a great experience and culmination of inspiring recipes.  Although this restaurant trends in a more pricey direction, it would be a perfect place to try something not typical to the area of Cape Cod, MA.  If one can ever get sick of a lobster roll or clam chowder and need something a little different, this place is a great choice for a refreshing experience.
