I want to tell you that Mrs. Uglesich prepares the best Bloody Mary that I have ever had. I also had the shrimp and grits which were great, fried oysters, which were also the best, Ever thing that they serve is quality assured by Anthony Uglesich and is wonderful.
thanks Stephen for the pics

Hello Stephen, oh man I am getting more jealous. I ate at Mandina’s on the last night of my last trip to New Orleans. I had their oyster and artichoke soup for an appetizer and the seafood platter for the main dish. Everything was excellent and the service was outstanding. This is probably my favorite neighborhood type restaurant. When we were ready to leave my wife still had not finished her cocktail so the waitress offered her a to go cup. When it came back from the bar it was topped off.[:D] I love New Orleans!
Slightly off topic, but here is my New Orleans Agenda:
Sundancer, the address is:
Napoleon House Bar & Cafe
500 Chartres St.
New Orleans, LA 70130
It’s at the corner of St Louis and Chartres in the French Quarter. They have a full creole/cajun menu and what I think is one of the best muffuletta sandwiches in town. But it’s worth going even if you just want a drink. Hope this helps.

Sundancer, boy do I envy you. Uglesich’s is one of my favorite places in the world. Have you ever been to the Napoleon House in the Quarter? In my opinion they have the best atmosphere in New Orleans. Try a Pimm’s cup there if you like mixed drinks.
Where is the Napolean House and what is their menu like?
I’ll be in NO tomorrow.
I will probably be at Uglesichs [:p]on Thursday for lunch. I might see Stephen Rushmore there as he will be in NO for the JazzFest.

Stephen, I will be at Uglesich’s tomorrow at 11:00AM. I will be first in line. A picture will not do justice to the compactness of the place. More room outside but outside ain’t much fun in NO in the summertime. Extremely humid place. Good thing they got cold beer and great food.
I stay at the Springhill suites which is only about a mile away. Even that is somewhat of an issue. If you don’t mget there pretty early, parking is not easy.
Anyway, Uglesich’s is worth it.

I will be eating at Uglesich’s this Fri & Sat lunch for NO Jazzfest. Will you also be standing in line? It’s one of my favorite meals in town, and will take well overdue pictures for the web site.
