I haven’t had time to read the transcripts but those examples look GOOD. Looks a lot better than a loose meat sandwich.
Is the bun used any thing other than a hot dog bun? Those look a bit sturdier (and larger).
Plain old white flour hotdog buns are a crucial building block in the Eastern Kentucky chili bun archetype. Plochman’s mustard and chopped white or yellow onions complete the picture. A hotdog is strictly forbidden. Sides? Grippos or Mike Sells potato chips and Pepsi or Ale-8 should be the beverage of choice. Coke would be heresy.
I’ve been working on my Eastern Kentucky Chili Bun Trail project for the past decade. I posted lots of the articles here but sadly all those links were lost or broken when the forum migrated into its current state.
