Yeah, I do turn it down ! I tried one some years back and was more than disappointed !!! We even found some frozen versions (not the McDonalds brand, in the grocery store some time back, and gave them a try…worse than the FF types !
Not meaning to side-track the theme, but we have tried the Sausage McPancake thingy on the breakfast menu and have found them to be better than the usual biscuit/sausage combination for a fast bite on the road !
The McRib is at the Hagerstown, MD location (on the eastbound side of I-70 and across from Prime Outlets).
Stopped to use the restroom yesterday (literally no parking spaces at the Cracker Barrel nearby) and they had posters up all over the building.
I guess per the above posts it will be every where soon.
I’m pretty sure each McRib starts out as a shake-like substance…all ground up and gooey before it gets injected into the rib-like mold…Maybe McDonalds could sell it by the bag for home use.
not much unlike sausage.
True, but sausage has the good taste to not mimic some other food substances…Sausage is true to its origins…..but then sausage does not have a marketing department or a catchy jingle.
I finally tried one today and it wasnt horrible. I’m not sure i’d order it again (i’m a sucker for Big Macs if I eat at McD’s), but i wouldnt turn one down.
Honestly, it reminded me of a piece of school cafeteria salisbury steak with BBQ sauce on it. The onions were fresh and good and the pickles were a nice addition. Like I said, it wasnt bad, but I wouldnt go crazy trying to ever find one again.
I am, as I type this, eating my very first McRib.
I like it!
I’m stunned[:0], but happy to hear the report![;)]
You can always just say McNo to the McRibless. If it’s so McDarn McPopular why don’t they always McSell it?
It’s about as laughable as selling a McMignon.
Al, wow… two-phers for McRibs! Let us know how you like them. I would suggest extra onions and pickles if there is no extra charge.
About the McRib Shake… chocolate or vanilla???
Hey, I once tried a sausage McGriddle, and it was pretty darned good.
What a great double-header…a McRib and a Bacon Egg and Cheese McGriddle ! [woot]
Had a mc rib last night… not as good as I remembered. The dog sure enjoyed the 3/4 that was left.
Our Louisville NBC station did a local news story of folks lining up for the McRibs at a downtown McDonalds. Not a commercial…a news clip with interviews and views of the fake ribs being removed from a deep fryer basket and dipped in the ‘goo’ (I can’t bring myself to call it BBQ Sauce”)
I have receive three emails this morning with MCRIB coupons that include a free Dr Pepper, or Two-phers for the sandwich itself!
I would say the marketeers are having a field day with this-rebirth!
My friend put together a bacon/swiss/onion ring McRib today, then sent me a picture of it. Darn people testing my resolve to eat healthier…
Wendy Williams just had, and showed a close up, of 2 McRibs on her show. She told about eating them when she was younger and said she planned of having one this W/E. I didn’t remember the onions and pickles. Hey, it’s been awhile since I had one.
