Out of curiosity I tried the Impossible Castle from White Castle about a month ago. I really like real White Castles. I found the Impossible version to be really impossible. I bought two of them and tossed the first one after my second bite. I tried again with the second one and tossed it after the first bite.
Michael,
What time of the day did you do this taste test? All White Castle taste tests need to be done between 2:00 & 2:30am, right after the bars close.

Burger King will start selling its meatless Whopper across the United States on August 8, the biggest rollout for Impossible’s plant-based product.
The https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/13/business/burger-king-stranger-things/index.html burger chain has been selling the Impossible Whopper, featuring a meatless patty made by Impossible Foods, in a few markets in the United States since April. It first https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/01/business/burger-king-impossible-whoppers/index.html tested the product in St. Louis before https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/29/business/burger-king-impossible-rollout/index.html announcing in May that it would offer the Impossible Whopper nationally this year.

Burger King is introducing a Whopper made with a vegetarian patty from the start-up Impossible Foods. The deal is a big step toward the mainstream for start-ups trying to mimic and replace meat.
Initially it will only be available in the St. Louis area, so if we have anyone in that area willing to be seen in a Burger King let us know what you think [:D]
My daughter is a vegetarian and has to look for a white castle for the small imitation slide. If this goes nationwide
I’m sure, provided it tastes right, it will have a solid market for it!
Yeah… but the rest of us will be wondering if we are getting the real meat in our burger now.
Hell, you don’t taste much meat in a whopper or big mack anyway. Taste comes from tomato lettuce, cheese, and lots of sauce. Tried this once . Taste a whopper with meat…then without…about the same!!
heck my local store puts 4 or 5 small pieces of lettuce (mostly the thick rind part); about the same amount of onion; 2 thin round pickles; and a thin slice piece of green tomato. Defiantly not like BK pictures. The lettuce and tomato has no flavor. … I’ve had thoughts of sending BK corporate a picture of the local Whopper. NO the tomato & lettuce is not over powering the meat flavor here.
Oh, it was between 2:00 and 2:30. But it was pm, not am.
