I also posted about Stanich's problems back around the first of the year when things started going south for them. For a little more history on it.

Thanks! The Thrillist follow up article is instructional for all, not necessarily in a good way.

Is Stanich’s in Portland https://roadfood.com/restaurants/stanichs https://roadfood.com/restaurants/stanichs/ really closed for good?
Root-Beer Man–
No doubt you are correct about that. It’s just a weird way of writing it. Regardless, I wish them nothing but the best.
BTW, I have only been there once and although it was perfectly fine, but certainly nothing earth shaking.
That’s great that they have reopened. That article was heartbreaking.
Just curious though, what does “Open for Stanich Patrons, AKA Regular Customers, All Welcome” mean?
If I had to guess as to its meaning, they were looking for their regular, local customers and not the Yelper foodies and food tourists, (yeah, that means us), but then they welcomed everyone, so it kinda negates that. I think they just want to return to their pre-fame days when the only food tourists they got were Roadfooders and the other odd ducks and not the streams of hipsters that crowded the place and made service a nightmare. JMO.
Are they really open?
Are they worth trying again?

I m not sure anyone cares by now.
I’m happy they’re open again. If I ever make it out there I’d like to try one of their burgers.
