I miss your wonderfully literate Trip Reports.

Still, I remain totally at a loss as to why any American would patronize a Starbucks anywhere in Europe. Perhaps you could explain that some sunny day.

I don’t drink coffee, but I’m quite literally addicted to their iced tea. I know, it’s stupid. It also gives me a short break from the pursuit of the next indulgence, a place to sit, relax, work on my pictures, send some emails, and often to eat something from a bakery that doesn’t have a sitting area.

Well, now I know about your (to me) curious Starbucks “thing”.

Here’s what we affectionally call “Crack Tea” here is Texas:

And, regarding your Trip Reports … I meant to describe them as “wonderfully literate” AND “beautifully illustrated”.

Thanks for the compliments on my trip reports. I had a couple that I had planned on doing, including my last European and Florida tours, but with the condition of these boards, and the fact that my last three or four at least have disappeared, I can’t seem to bring myself to get them done.

Sorry to say it but I think you’re being wise to not waste the effort. I miss your reports too. It had occurred to me some time ago that maybe F*xy might use these boards as sort of a farm system, especially the trip reports since there are several of you that are just fantastic at it.

But I more and more tend to think what we’re confronted with is a deliberate f/u and deliberate continued indifference. Sad but there doesn’t seem to be anything we can do about it.

I got frustrated last week trying to post to the dinner thread – a rather long post that I worked through at least 6 or 7 Captcha screens before it showed up. Then I realized there were some edits needed. Another 6 or 7 Captcha screens before it was accepted. Then I spotted an even worse typo. This time, after only 2 or 3 Captcha screens it decided I was a robot after all and the post disappeared, along with another post on another thread I had made earlier.

You won’t see either of them here. I gave up.

Disgraceful. These people are the least professional and worst “support” team imaginable. How can it be that they are actually employed. And how is this company still in business.
