After almost everyone left, two of Eric’s friends arrived. One tried and succeeded in doing something that CTD, bb, & TTM combined could not do. He successfully sampled each of the pies in the Pie Parade.
Stay tuned for updates.
Oh, I am sure Jim will be taking leftovers back to Arizona. Whether he will be sharing is another matter.
Perhaps. Or, perhaps you were suggesting that I’d been posting from her computer for a while, in which case you’re sort of forgiven. [:D]
Sorry you couldn’t be there, Ann, but that’s certainly a good reason!
We ate well. And later tonight I shall sleep well.
Looks like there’s a chance Mrs. SC won’t be attending this year due to a scheduling mixup at work, but that shouldn’t affect my presence.
Although I’m sure you’d all prefer it the other way around.[;)]
Do you need someone to explain it to you, Michael?
Blame Pie Diva’s sign maker. He should have included written instructions for the caramel, coconut and bananas. Shame on him.
Regretfully, I will probably not be attending this year.
Sorry, and I’ll miss you all.
I’m going to assume that was supposed to be amusing.
Can Jim bring some leftovers back to AZ, Pretty Please!
There was only one lemon pie, the Lemon Chess. The Caribbean Panna Cotta was coconut and lime. That one had a caramel sauce and toasted coconut to go with it. There were also some bananas to slice up and serve with it. Remember, if there is stuff out on the counter, you may use it.
Congratulations. Amazing that you were hired despite your past as a sumo wrestler and muskrat trapper.
Yeah, you know who I’m talking about. He’s been unusually nice lately for some reason. [;)]
Sorry about any confusion. I was using lleechef’s computer when I asked: VACATED? Now, while I’m certainly happier about the world at this time than I might have been in the past several years, I’m still thte same curmudgeonly being of yore. The thing is, there’s not that much being posted that’s silly, nasty, stupid, or otherwise offensive.
Well that explains why lleechef has turned into an @$&?*!% recently. [:p]
I remembered your post about the Norske Nook Pie and made that my first stop. It was fantastic with a perfect balance of sweet blueberry and tangy sour cream.
I’m usually drawn immediately to the lemon or lime pies, but for some reason didn’t include them in my selections this time around. Now I’m sorry I missed them. I’ve still got a couple of “take home” pieces yet to try. Mrs. Roadhouse made the selections. Maybe I’ll get lucky and she picked one of the lemon pies.
