The issue of the listeria-contaminated milk processed by Whittier Farms of Shrewsbury, MA is the subject of this Massachusetts DPH Press Release:
MONTHS???? They’ve been working on it for MONTHS??? Good lord…when did they decide to stop selling, and how much possibly contaminated dairy was sold until they did? Yikes.
We have a listeria problem at a local dairy, that made the news last night, and the local paper today. The state inspection team has been working the problem for a few months, and although they have pinpointed the dairy, the how, where and why is still being investigated. The dairy has decided to stop selling pending the results. I understand that finding the exact source can be hard.
When milk (or anything) is pasturised, can listeria live through it?? I see it in the news, more often , recently.
