I just received a note from one of Bud Phillips’ daughters that the family has sold Phillips Diner in Woodbury, CT. She said July 4th would be their last day and the restaurant would close for a while, but reopen with new owners. The good news is that Bud will stay on to make the donuts. We don’t know if they’ll continue making the wonderful chicken pies.
