We were having major email issues at work a couple weeks ago–not able to send or receive, but inconsistently.
It turned out to be our router disallowing transfer of data packets exceeding a certain size. We needed to change some kind of entry in the registry on each person’s computer to allow the router to break up the packets.
I’m sorry if this sounds like gibberish, but that’s how it was explained to me by the person who fixed it – and all I know is that things are working ok now.

I also experienced the error messages but it appears that all is resolved now.

I’m know I’m not receiving newsletters… I used to but I know someone else got one on Dec 20th and I didn’t.

I can’t quite tell if I am receiving subscribed topics notices (I didn’t get any today, but have not seen that I missed anything yet).

HOWEVER when I previously tried to read the forums today, I couldn’t get into ANY topics for about 10 minutes or more. It just kept generating error messages… so I suspect that something is "up". Don’t know if that is helpful or not.
