It’s located near the "Fayette Place" shopping center on Nicholasville Road (US highway 27) just north of Man O War Boulevard, and as the website says, it’s right behind Bella Note, which itself is a decent Italian restaurant.

The thing to remember about the secret menu is that you can have a burger ‘custom built’ using it. Most customers stick to the Single or the Double-Double that is on the regular menu. Adding patties and cheese can make a burger pretty expensive if you let your imagination loose ! Some where on this site there is a thread with a photo of a 20×20 monster.([xx(]). I have consummed a 4×4 a few times, but frankly would prefer to order two of the Double Doubles.[:p]Wish I had one right now!!

ONE IRON, The Map apparently isn’t ready online– but elsewhere on the website it says it is located right behind the Lexington Restaurant "Bella Notte". Now to find that address.??

Al, when you get there, let us know the location, I tried to get a map from the site but it wasn’t available yet. And order a 3×2 for me and a veggie burger for Debbie.[;)]

Here is some data from an earlier post on another thread. The link in Xannie’s post doesn’t work anymore.

Their menu is very small: You can get a hamburger, cheeseburger, the signature Double-Double (double meat, double cheese), fries, sodas (one of the few places that has Coke, 7-Up, AND Dr Pepper on their soda lineup instead of the usual Coke-Sprite-Mr. Pibb; their lemonade is quite noteworthy too, the only fast-food lemonade I’ve found that has lemon pulp in it!), shakes, coffee, and milk. That’s it. If you order a burger, they will put on it hand-leafed lettuce, tomato, their special sauce (Thousand Island dressing), and a slice of onion if you want. There is a secret menu available, created over the years and passed around only by word-of-mouth. Here’s what I know of it:

Double Meat: Double-Double without the cheese.
3×3: Adds another patty and slice of cheese to the Double-Double.
4×4: Adds yet another patty and slice of cheese. This can be extended as you see fit, 6×6, 8×8, 12×12, 20×20… the mind boggles. If you want to do anything bigger than an 8×8, go during off-peak times when it won’t completely bottleneck the grill.
Double-Single: Double meat, one slice of cheese. For those days when you aren’t feeling too cheesy.
2×4: Double-Double, twice the usual cheese. Actually, the grill guy just grabs a big stack of cheese slices and throws them on- we counted nine slices in each bunch once. In our group, this is known to some as the Fromage Fatale.
Grilled Onions: These are quite caramelized and very delicious. Let the cashier know you want the grilled ones when she asks if you want onion on the burger.
Animal Style: The *real* way to get your burger. They put mustard on the patties before cooking them, use the grilled onions, add pickles, and double the special sauce. Get extra napkins.
Protein Style: The burger comes wrapped in lettuce leaves instead of on a bun.
    Grilled Cheese: Cheeseburger, no meat.
    Veggie Burger: Hamburger, no meat.
Flying Dutchman: Two patties, two slices of cheese, that’s it. No, not even a bun.
Well-Done Fries: Exactly what you think it is. They come out very crispy.

What a great idea! Seems like Hardee’s was very similar to this back in the (real) early ’70s. [8D]

There’s a place in Indianapolis called 96th St Steakburgers that has many similarities to In N Out including menu, preparation, etc that seems more than just a coincidence. They will even make your burger Animal Style but they call it Monster Stye.
