It’s not in NC, but in SC, but I agree with D&H in Manning, SC. You can get their fried chicken as part of their great BBQ buffet. Same with McCabe’s in Manning. Just be sure McCabe’s is open. They had been closed for quite a while because of a family illness. I don’t know if they have re-opened yet. Even then, they are only open a few days a week in the mid-day only.
If you go to Manning, you must try the fried chicken at McCabes…………….it is wonderful!
My two favorite places for fried chicken are at Grady's Barbecue in Dudley, NC, and D & H Barbecue in Manning, SC.
Some of the best fried chicken I have had was in N.Carolina. I will have to ask my cousin where it was. I believe it was just outside of Raleigh. And yes it was a bbq place..
