M&M Catering (the barbecue place) on Middlebrook Pike is still open and running and the barbecue is still awesome! I do not know anything about the death of the owner, but it is still alive!
I am sorry about the demise of the owner but unfortunately I have never heard of M&M. I wish I had know about them.
Knoxville has never had a real good BBQ place that I knew about.

I recently received some bad news. I must state that this is unconfirmed but it came from a man who used to work with the owner of M&M.
The owner of M&M was found dead in a forest in East Tennessee, cause of death unknown at this time. I am sure this will mean the end of the best BBQ in East Tennessee.
My prayers go out to his wife and family.
