It’s recommended by Tom Fitzmorris–local food critic. Not one of his highest ratings though. Haven’t tried it myself.
Magnolia is fine if you want simple diner chow such as breakfast, burgers, po boy’s, seafood platters, etc. It’s fairly new and fine for a simple meal. But why go to a diner in NOLA when you have so many great classical creole cuisine restaurants to visit. If I wanted diner food I would go to Coop’s on Decatur where you can get decent local creole cuisine that’s not expensive.

Has anyone eaten at the Magnolia Grill in New Orleans? The Groupon site is offering a half price coupon. I am considering purchasing one but I was wondering if it was worth a visit or not. It doesn’t expire for one year which would mean I could use it during the next Roadfood Festival next March.
I have been there for breakfast. The food is mediocre, and don’t be in a hurry. It is the slowest breakfast I’ve ever had, and they were not very busy.
