Every kids sports teams that I’ve ever been associated with like Little League and Pop Warner and girls sports and cheerleading have an “End of Season Party”, give out awards, etc.. It’s a Good market.
Get in with the kids sports leagues! Most of them sell program/yearbook ads. Take out a small ad.
That will expose you to multiple families at one time that can lead to spinoff business for individual birthday business.

    Two suggestions:
    1) try to appeal to the adults. Kids are not going to say, “I want a hot dog party!”
    2) Theme: Baseball.

my only suggestion for you is to have a base price for doing these types of events.

I did quite a bit of catering in CA before moving to Maine, i got a lot of experience with both weddings and private parties.  because of this I added catering to my repertoire when i opened my cart.

I have done some company fiunctions here in portland for Trader Joe’s and Allagash BRewing, along with a couple of local non profits.  I have also catered one wedding, it was for some people we knew a little bit, they were a very young couple so i REALLY worked with them on keeping it affordable, but you’d be surprised what some people will expect to get from you for very little money.

By setting up a base price and making clear what that price includes you can set their expectations very quickly.  If you want to be competitive with others in that market see what your local caterers, magicians, clowns etc. are charging and remember they have experience in this field. just my two cents.

Freezing here, ain’t working. Lotsa time to plan 2014.
Was thinking of adding Kids Party’s to my mix. A dog cart is a fun thing.
I have a creative Daughter……thinking she could make cake, party favors, etc.
Maybe Grandson as a clown. Open for other ideas for fun things.
Can do “Themes”, got access to suppliers.
    Any one do this?
