Good God but I ate a ton of those in the early-mid 70s, in Fresno BTW. I too haven’t seen them in years.
I can’t believe someone else remembers Kona Burritos. I was just talking about them today. We are trying to find out if anyone still makes them or if someone has a recipe
Has anyone heard of the "KONA – Polynesian Burrito"? Hamburger joints in the 70’s used to sell them (they look like deep-fried burritos) The filling was a mysterious blend of potatos, spices, maybe some type of ground meat. Used to buy Konas in Central California towns like Visalia and Fresno but haven’t seen them on any menus for about 20 years. Haven’t found any info on the Internet either. Am I imagining the Kona? Any info would be appreciated. Molli7
