It’s a “He” by the way…hehe You don’t have to buy the griddle from Cabellas, it was the right price by them, amongst other internet providers. Im not promoting Cabelas, only for the fact that they have the best price, isnt that why we are here?
If you want to buy the griddle from someone else, buy it!
I shopped there and have been more than happy with there service.. Jeez, you guys have got to be kidding me right?
If you need a griddle, go buy one, it worked for me, so Im passing it on.. Buy it from joes griddles, and marked up to 499.00 if you want..
All people at MFVA are volunteers (non paid)
Before you start pointing fingers please make sure you know who and what to point at.
Um there still charging 89.99 for membership.. Everything you just said didn’t change that. So do they donate the 89.99 per person to a charity then? And I didn’t need to point any fingers, was just stating a fact. (since i was interested in joining until I saw the price)
No the money would be used to help fund legal assistance to lobby for vendors and their rights. It also goes to general uses like office supplies, administrative cost, postage, or other expenses that would occur in the duty of benefiting its members. Like any organization they have hard cost associated with operating. As the organization grows I am sure their will become a time when they may have paid staff, no different than organizations like Goodwill Industries, Red Cross, or other trade organizations, etc. For now it has an all volunteer staff.
I am not sure why the $89.99 price concerns you. I can assume you buy general office supplies, hot dogs, snacks, condiments, etc. Buying a cart or another cart in the future? How about $100 off the price? Need repair parts for an existing cart? There are discounts for that to.
Like I said the savings offered from the sponsors far outweigh the membership cost. Either way the choice is your no big deal either way. Just don t act like I am pushing the MFVA because I am benefiting in some way. If you want to know the truth I have taken time away from my family and work to help volunteer my time for free.
*** If the mods feel this is starting to sound like an advertisement for MFVA (OR ANYONE) that is not my intent. My intent was to defend myself from people acting like I may have a “motive” behind some post I have made. If that is the case feel free to delete and alter as you guys see fit.

Okay Kids,
Let’s all get along. Some try to help, others get insulted. Email has no emotion. Much to be read between the lines. Now let’s all do the Barney song! I love you! You love me. Let’s work together people. We don’t need people comparing the size of the size of their sausages. Lets just make lots of $$$$$
Well said…..

Helping people for $89.99 a year to join mfva :p
Do you know what MFVA even does? Do you know what the membership gets you in discounts from the sponsors like BJ’S, Vienna Beef, Staples, Onion Crunch, Dream Maker Carts, etc. It is WAY beyond the $89.99 cost of joining. You can save that amount just on utilizing one sponsors offer.
MFVA is a trade organization it is not a “club”. It is a trade organization that helps fight for rights of mobile food vendors everywhere. It was established solely to organize mobile food vendors to have a voice from far reaching laws and regulations. The sponsors do not even pay to be a sponsor that is free. The only thing we ask of sponsors is to offer discounts to the members that are beyond what they would offer the general public. The sponsors are just an added benefit to the members.
All people at MFVA are volunteers (non paid) that work for a common goal of representing mobile food vendors as professional business owners that have rights. It is no different than the trade organization for restaurant owners, real estate people, police officers, fireman, etc. We dedicate many hours to the organization (non paid) to make it better for mobile food vendors everywhere even the non members. If we help change a restrictive law against mobile food vendors it benefits not only its members but food vendors in general. Ever thought about that?
Have you ever heard of the National Restaurant Association? They are a trade organization that represents restaurant owners and similar. Their minimum dues are $350.0 a year and up. So $89.99 to join MFVA is a bargain if you ask me.
So if you think the $89.99 is too much to pay I understand but in the end you still can benefit from our efforts from government restrictions and other trade organizations that help lobby against mobile food vendors everywhere.

I spend several hours a week helping people…at no charge.
The core of this site has also always been a free resource for those who want to use it…free of charge. No membership…no fees. I am sure it has been the framework of many books and programs.
I will wait for the hot dogs gave me more patience and less bluntness book!
Fair enough…. [8D]

I’m not calling you crazy. You say call you crazy every time someone (not me) disagrees with your tone. What mod said people need to relax?
I NEVER said you called me crazy. I NEVER said anything about people calling me crazy when someone disagrees with me. I said call me crazy for wanting to help people. [:(] Heck, now you are almost confusing me… [8D]
You never answered my question about how many hours you spend helping people for free in a week. ????? [huh]
You havent posted up those thread where I “mention it so often” either.
If you are going to point fingers please make sure they are pointing in the right direction.
I am not getting into “what mod” has said anything other than I will say I have been contacted in the past by mod’s that have thanked me for keeping it civil when people want to argue, poke the stick, stir the crap, etc. Similar situation to this thread in the past where people take the information I gave WAY out of context and cause a ruckus over nothing…..
Hey Delta, nice looking grill, great that it worked out well for the fund raiser. If this works with your HD, the more power to ya, the price is right and its a nice size grill. I know with some HD’s, in some areas, they like seeing a “UL” approved appliance. It’s up to each Dogger to check with their HD to see if this unit would be approved………..hope everything is going well………pnwc

When you have an extensive relationship with the individual it’s not an advertisement. But when you mention it so often…and get into so many huffs and like to call names when someone has something to say…keep truckin’
Mention it so offten? Really? Post up those threads where I have metioned it “often” I can only think of a couple at most.
I cant help I am a co-host for HDVR which I do so for free, sit on the board of directors at MFVA for free, work on sponsors for MFVA that benifits members, help people get through the red tape at their local health depts, etc, etc all for free. Why? Again, call me crazy but I like helping people. My help or advice is not medicine people dont have to take it. However my delivery may be a little blunt or to the point at times. Like medicine it can taste bad going down but in the end given to help you. I probably dedicate 6 to 8 hours a week helping current and potential vendors. How many hours do you spend??
I get into so many “huffs”? Really?? Call names? Where did I call anyone “names”. Maybe people need to relax (like moderators have told me they do) and take the information for face value and that the information I give may be a bit blunt it is still the truth in the end that can help save people from mistakes and cost them money.

It’s subjective…and this is a forum devoted to the same information at no charge….but would charge for advertisement.
Don’t “ass” me…Sugar.
Advertisment would only apply if I were making money from the “suggestion”. No different than the original poster “suggesting” the griddle unless they own Cabellas or the grill company making the griddle. Since we are not making money from said suggestions I “ASSume” we are in the clear that it is not an advertisment on both our parts. Matter of fact, I would also ASSume that the mear suggestion that this griddle is the cats meow in the posters view is “suggestive” and others may have found it to be a terrible griddle.
I hope this clears things up a little better for the readers. Probably as clear as mud to some readers…… “Sugar” [lol]
