18 miles south of Hammond on I-55, exit 15, is Middendorf’s. Great seafood with a very unique way of fixing paper thin catfish. Check Michael Stern’s write up on the roadfood restaurant review section.

Last time i was there
Old McDonald’s Smokehouse, on i think Morrison Blvd, in hammond had some really good barbecue.
For Breakfast
Carona’s Bakery over on market st
if you like mexican
adobe cantina and salsa on w thomas had some good food.

My husband and I are taking our 2 year old son camping at Yogi Bears Jellystone Park in Robert, Louisiana just outside of Hammond
