If you’re there for lunch, check out Nice-N-Natural. It’s on College St. just south of the capitol building. There is a place in five points called the Village Idiot that had good pizza when I lived there( yes, good pizza in the south. I’m from the NY suburbs, trust me!) There are a bunch of places that have opened on the congaree vista, but they mostly went in after I moved.
I work in Columbia SC ! What type of food do you like ?
We have several excellent Indian resturants (India Pavilion in 5 points), an excellent Korean resturant (Blue Cactus). The Vista is a location for many excellent resturants. Try Blue Marlin or Motor Supply. For Italian there is Al’s Upstairs, Mangia Mangia, Garibaldi’s. For Greek there is Parthenon, and Grecian Gardens. If you like down-home cooking, try any of the Lizard Thicket’s locations.
Then of course there is B-B-Q !!! You can feast on several all-u-can eat buffetts ! There is Milendars, Little Pigs, and Maurice Piggy-Park. Those are in Columbia proper, if you are into a bit of a ride, then you can head down to Batesburg-Leesville and eat at Shealy’s (but they are almost down to Georgia).
You can try going to http://www.thestate.com (the local newspaper) and select the food section for some further information !
I would think you would be looking for places in New York or Boston. Not feeling confindent? You just gotta win one outta two! Buck up, man! Get behind your team.
Does anyone know of any good places to eat in Columbia, South Carolina?
