Lucky for me, don’t have to fly. Just 4 hour drive 🙂 Salt oat cookies and Chai, and I want Max’s ice cream, too.

Must…order…salty…oat….cookies. I wish we had a place like Teaism in Arkansas. The only place I’ve ever had (or even seen) the Chai milkshake was Chaiwalla, in Salisbury, CT. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend a visit. The owner is quite knowledgeable about tea and she bakes a mean cobbler and an addictive tomato pie. Plus, her straight-up hot Chai is awesome.

Summer? Sounds like Chai milkshakes (and salty oat cookie) time!! Deal! [:p]

I know this is about Chai, but I can’t help thinking about those salty oatmeal cookies. Hi I am Chinesegirl, I am 60 days sober of Teaism’s salty oat cookies and their Salmon Ochazuke.

Wow! There’s chai milkshake and ice cream?

I wish we had that here! I’ve tried Green Tea ice cream before but it tasted kinda weird… Chai ice cream must be nice because of the deep and punchy spices!

I have also had both Chai ice cream and a Chai milk shake. I prefer drinking a nice hot cup of Chai, but I must admit, the milk shake was pretty good.

I’ll try the chai at Teaism. $2.50 sounds like a bargain. I pop over to the Dupont Circle location occasionally but usually it’s just for a salty oat cookie.

    Jellybeans–Fourbucks…er, I mean Starbucks…sells chai? I can’t imagine it, mostly because I can’t stand their coffee.

jpatweb–$2.50 for me. But the cup was about the size of a very large coffee (they call that a grande, right?). Worth every penny. It is THAT good!

Yes, yes! Me! I fell for it three years ago while braving a fierce Pennsylvania winter. I still indulge here, in Florida now, especially during the fall & winter. I even brew some from bags (by Stash) at work. Makes my cubicle smell so great…This is my lone allowance of granulated sugar in my diet b/c you can’t have "unsweetened" Chai…

Meowzart: Well, here in the UK, Starbucks do serve Chai… and if I recall, I had Starbucks Chai in the U.S. as well…

I had my first Chai from a smaller coffeeshop chain in the UK that is now defunct (can’t remember what it’s called) and have been addicted eversince. Unfortunately, I’ve not had Chai for quite some time now because all that sugar in it isn’t good for me (gives me a sugar rush and then my mood drops like a rock!) although I do order Chai without the milk and sugar (Starbucks also, strangely enough… and minue both milk and sugar, it’s half or 1/3 the price of normal Chai…).

I don’t drink coffee myself but Starbucks is proving to be the quick-fix place for most people here in the UK (it’s them or Coffee Republic or Costa coffee which, according to some of my friends, both serve even worse coffee. At least Starbucks’ non-coffee items redeem themselves a little but hot chocolate from either Coffee Republic or Costa Coffee sucks big time!).
