Next time you’re up that way, continue on into Mystic and take in the great aquarium.

Great question, Michael! This place will be on my list for my next visit. I’ve only been to New London once — last summer — but thoroughly enjoyed my hot lobster roll at Captain Scott’s. Also had a great time visiting the museum in the Customs House, and browsing through the nearby “antiques” mall, where we found some rare collectible books and some interesting bric a brac.
What a terrific review of the Broken Yolk Cafe. And oh, how good that food looks. That omelet reminds me of a combination of the Popeye at The Shack in East Lyme and the sausage potato and peppers omelet at David John’s in Niantic. But that lobster Benedict would be on my must-have list for a trip back home. Why is it that so many places along the Connecticut shore have such fantastic breakfasts?
