He might just be annoyed with hmmm….how shall I say it without losing a few dollars in the curse jar? This place. [:p]
How long do we wait for Philly Hu to check in before we start checking arrest records in Oregon?[:(]

Curby, I thought about you on Thanksgiving day. I was in Pulaski having dinner with my wife’s side of the family. I wished I had a chance to come on over to Lawrenceburg to see you. One of these days when we go up I will give you a shout and drop by.

Got up early and headed to the Big Box. Well no one was there, so started to clean and some people showed up. Next we noticed some ladies showed up. Brought them over and decided to TSA them.
After all the grooping, decided to measure for Bra sizes as if we worked at Victoria’s Secret. After a while they left and brought in bunch more. At the end had 38 Gals. Fresh Goats Milk.
Went home and the wife had Cherry Pancakes and Cherry Maple syrup made .
Best Black Friday.
Cyber Monday is about online shopping.
ppl ask me from time to time what I make a week or a month, and I just smile and say I make under $1000 a day and leave it at that. Ppl want to know where I get my stuff and how much a trailer like mine costs to buy, and I say mine’s custom built and about $20k-$30k. and that usually backs em off, that and the fact i tell them it takes year of research.
…I had RV folks telling me we needed to move down to Deming, NM or “better yet” Quartzsite, AZ. Yep, we’re going to rush right out there. Won’t be able to see us for the dust, we’ll be moving out so fast!
Hey Lorna…I live in Mesa, AZ. I don’t know about Deming, NM, but I HAVE been to Quartzite…in the winter. TONS of people there. Of course, they were almost ALL living in RV’s so I imagine that come April, Quartzite becomes almost a ghost town. I agree with you…I wouldn’t go there either.
This past weekend, I gave my card to two people who said they were interested in getting into the business. I’ll help them if I could. I’ve only been in the business for 3 months now and have had a bunch of people help me – you being one of them (and I really do appreciate that!!). So if I can help someone else, that is (in my mind) a way of “giving back”.

I’ve been to both Deming, NM and Quartzite, AZ. Deming has a few events throughout the year (The Deming Duck Races being one of them) but I don’t know that there would be enough year round demand to support an everyday business. Besides Deming is very, very, very close to the border town of Columbus, NM which is a hot spot for the ongoing Mexican drug wars. DD
… collecting money all day and then went and got in his Nice newer model F-150…
Gee, was that the guy who lives up in Signal Mtn that used to be out at the East Ridge Exit (I75 Exit 1). Must have gotten a new truck. Of course it’s been a while since we lived in the area.
David stayed home… where it was warm and saved the time and gas!
$118.25 today, 11 to 5. Sold 4 hot dogs, the rest were cheese steaks. Customers were mostly regulars and I am next to the mall.
Sold 2 biscuits & gravy, and 2 turkey sands, 1 coffee & 1 pepsi…
Opened at 8….shut it down at 11:30. The phone never rang once today…. 50-75% of my orders are phone in.
I set up around 11am and wrapped-up at 1:30 on Black Friday. Did about $165.
Cyber Monday was crap as well. Did about the same today.
Well I decided to abandon my daily spot and follow the crowds to the mall area. I set up between our large mall and Wal Mart. Thousands of cars passed by me each hour. I had high hopes going into this day. I sat there from 10:00 am till 3:00 pm and watched the so called homeless people with their cardboard signs bring in 4-5 times more money than me. I sold $22 worth of product and froze to death. Before you guys start calling me cold hearted these people were not homeless. They stood there with their signs collecting money all day and then went and got in his Nice newer model F-150. The other one was driving a nice Honda. Did anyone have a good Black Friday? Just when you think you have these crowds and customers figured out you have a day like today.

The local restaurant where I live has been around for a while. We know the owners real well, he is our Mayor right now. He comes over and sits down with us and talks to us when we come in. When I was laid off last year, I was talking to him about the restaurant closer to my side of the city that keeps closing and opening under new management and new names and told him that some day I would like to own my own little restaurant. He ran down the list of every expense and about how much it would cost to run a 50 seater restaurant, the size of the one that we were talking about and what you have to make daily in order to keep it running. I thought it was really nice of him to give me all of that advice because I never realized how much a small place could cost. I told him I would stick with my hotdog cart dream first and possibly grow from there, which is what I am getting together right now.
Way to go Philly! [8D]
There is a guy who does hot dogs and hot chocolate every year by the Toys R Us in Jersey City…between Thanksgiving and Christmas. He turns great business…and they are happy to have him there.
