Awww man, that’s going to have to be my next Friday night meal. My mother and I are both watching our ‘junk food’ and ‘fat food’ intake, so Friday nights and Sunday lunches are when we eat less than healthy, lol. That looks SO good! I have some homemade Terlingua Red chili leftover from last week that would make a mean chili dog.
John A, those dogs are gorgeous! And thanks for the BK plug: that picture of the dogs on the grill was taken from further back, but Amy blew it up for the one that was posted. Yankee Doodle in New Haven also wraps their dogs in bacon, though they split them and stuff them with cheese beforehand…[:p] Chris
That’s a nice mustard. Being very sloppy and accident prone I long ago learned to bury the onions when I finally got tired of having to clean up all the ones that would drop off. [:D]
Thank you. Actually the mustard is Hebrew National’s spicy brown, must have been the flash that lightened it up. Good idea about the onions.
Not bad. Not bad at all. Except, of course, for the yellow mustard. [:D]
By the way, I prefer to put the onions under the toppings so they don’t fall off while you’re eating.
Great looking dogs. Now I am inspired to get my version posted of the Sonoron dog. I have all that is needed, The split top bun, bacon, pinto beans, jalapeno…and mayo.[;)]
Maybe I will forgo the mayo and use the horseradish cream sandwich spread.
tdj = Trader Joe’s?
Them looks real good John, bacon makes everything better
Looks better than the original.Great job, John!
Did some dogs wrapped in bacon, ala BK dogs, on a slightly toasted bun with mustard, onions, and tdj_tx s sauce. They were great.
