I’ve never been to G & M but MH ordered crabcakes from them……they arrived fresh, all that was required was baking them. OH MY GOD. They were outrageous! Best crabcakes I EVER had!!! [:X]
Since you’re arriving somewhat late Saturday evening, and I’m presuming you’re asking about dinner for that night, I will recommend the http://gandmcrabcakes.com G & M Restaurant and their excellent crabcakes (written up often on Roadfood).
All the food I’ve had there has been very good, and I’d think you’d be taking the Baltimore Beltway (695) to I-83, so G & M is very convenient to this route, and it’s close to the airport.
I’m driving from BWI up to Hershey, Pa., this weekend via I-83 and would love a recommendation for a dinner place along that route. ETA at BWI 740pm Saturday. Thanks …
You’re gonna be too late to deviate over to rt 15 and try Chubby’s…….so I’d stay in Baltimore fpr dinner……folks still tend to close early… check out Baltimore posts for some fine eating
Aside from Wegman’s, travelling the I-83 corridor is pretty anemic. I’m sure downtown/historic York has some good restaurants. But I’ve driven through the historic district, never stopped. It looks pretty, though.
A little late response – but G&M is great, it’s near airport. Also, in Timonium is the Blue Stone. Surrounded by warehouses and office buildings, it’s a white linen Chesapeake affair. Fried Green Tomatoes for appetizer is a must, crab fritters go quickly off the plate, Crisfield Stew (a spicy tomato broth simmered with many animals from the sea) is excellent dinner choice, and their daily specials you can’t go wrong.
