    La Jolla, huh?  Price?

    $7.95

For LaJolla, that’s a good price.  I expected it to be in the $12.00 range.

OT, but a few years ago, pre-bubble bursting, I had a client who offered me a 2 BR 2 Bath “bungalow” in LaJolla in lieu of cash payment for my services.  It was in really good shape inside with immaculate landscaping.  I took him up on his offer. I kept it for two years, using it as a vacation home and let friends and family use it if they were visiting the San Diego area.  I sold it and netted over $949,000 after taxes and costs to maintain it for two years. If I had declined his offer, his bill would have been just short of $120,000 for my services.  Needless to say, I haven’t had another opportunity like that one.

Does anyone really expect me to drive halfway across the USA for that sandwich. If so, please tell me how that sandwich is better than what I can get in Dallas.

Especially at the highly celebrated cheese shop in Dallas called, Scardello Artisan Cheese.

Now THIS folks is what you call a sandwich…………

You can buy this at the famous Cheese Shop in La Jolla.

They dont come any better or fresher.

They have tons of different HTF items and of course the selection of cheeses and sauces is hard to beat anywhere!

[/p][p]Every year my wife says this is our last year eating at home.” restaurant next year”. We prepare for hours and hours for a family meal finished in minutes…and by the time you eat it, you’re tired having been working for hours. It’s just our immediate family, so no one helps with sides , desserts etc. We four do it all.[/p][p]

Growing up we always had Thanksgiving at my grandparents’ home — following the morning football game between Hillhouse and West Haven high schools at the Yale Bowl. One year my grandfather decided he would spare my grandmother the work so he made reservations for the whole family (about 15 or 16 people) at a restaurant in New Haven. About halfway through the meal we were all startled when my grandfather pounded the table and shouted, “NO LEFTOVERS!” It had just occurred to him that he wouldn’t have his turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches later, and no more turkey dinners. [/p][p] [/p][p]That was the last time Thanksgiving dinner wasn’t made and served at home.[/p]
