Get right off the Taconic at Rt 199 — the place once called Another Roadside Attraction is now the Milan Road House, and it’s darn good. Hearty Mexican food in the same 1940s or ’50s wooden building. I believe they do pancakes on weekends.
Thanks, GB. Damn shame. I haven’t been there since 1994, but I can still taste their corn muffin pancakes and venison sausage.
The building is still there, but the ownership and name of the restaurant has changed several times in the last 5 years or so.
Must be a tough place to make a profit.
I’ll be taking the Taconic Parkway north to the Berkshires in a few weeks, and I would love to stop in Red Hook (or maybe it’s Milan?) at a place from my past called "Another Roadside Attraction". Does anyone know if it’s still there? I believe it was right off the parkway on route 199.
Thanks in advance for any help.
