There was a business group from England a number of years ago that was buying our old diners and shipping them across the pond to refurbish and set up, thankfully some preservation group stepped in put a stop to it, in our area anyway. I shudder to think about sitting at one of those counters now and being served the likes of Toads in a Hole, or Bubbles and Skweek and whatever else is on the top of their cullinary list. We should put together a group to rescue those orphans of the great American roadside and repatriot them to their former glory. Chow Jim
