The front was losing its punch today when it got east of Pensacola; most of
the remaining action happened north in Alabama, but just a few severe
thunderstorms, & when the front finally came through, it was just a 15-minute
shower, was on its way, & the sun came out a half-hour later.
There was a tornado watch until 1PM, but no warnings, & no need for the NWS
to extend it to Tallahassee & points east.

As you have probably read or heard, there were major issues in Tennessee. I thought Knoxville had escaped when I talked with the Mayor last evening but I was mistaken.
The weather across the USA was terrible all day eysterday and today.
