Bernice’s Bakery

Review by: Roadfood Team

In an old-fashioned brick building heading down to the Hip Strip, Bernice’s Bakery is a source for a healthful lunch, good coffee, and house-made desserts. It’s a warm, friendly place, its brick walls decorated with beautiful nature paintings.

What should I eat at Bernice’s Bakery?

We ordered Black Bean Puree soup, Broccoli Ginger Salad, and the Rudy Melt-Away. If you like the strong taste of ginger and a crunch to your salad, we especially recommend the Broccoli Ginger Salad. It is fresh and has a bright and intense flavor.  The Melt-Away is small, so two of them is the way to go if you want complete satisfaction.

Desserts include cookies, cakes, and cupcakes — all made from scratch. Molasses Cookies with an Iced Americano with added Soy Milk is a wonderful afternoon pick-me-up after a great lunch.

A couple of notes on this restaurant

Bernice’s is open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and lunch is served from 11:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. The earlier you go, the more options you have. Bernice’s was voted #2 Best of Missoula Bakery.  *Original Post by Dahlen Mitzalis*
