Tamarack Brewing Company

Missoula’s Tamarack Brewing Company is known for Montana craft-brewed beer and a varied Mexican-American food. The Tamarack overlooks the Missoula Carousel and a beautiful walking trail along the Clark Fork River. Its menu is a bit pricey, but the prime downtown location and exceptional food is worth it.

What should I eat at Tamarack Brewing Company?

A glass of  “Sip n’Go Naked” apricot ale along with a generous plate of crisp nachos is the perfect appetizer. The half pound serving, topped with melted cheese, beans, sour cream, salsa, optional meat and a side of guacamole, is the right amount for three people.  

The Brie Chicken Sandwich served with a side salad is a signature dish was great. The balsamic onions top the perfectly grilled chicken. If you enjoy a great hamburger, we recommend one of Tamarack’s, served with crisp beer-battered fries. Each dish on the menu comes with a beer recommendation to complement the meal.

One wouldn’t think that Mexican food could taste so good at a brewing company, but the chicken enchiladas with melted cheese on top made us very happy. We highly recommend Tamarack Brewing Company for a great glass of house-brewed beer, delicious food, a location right next to the river.  The environment is cheerful and has pleasant service.

There is seating downstairs and upstairs, with a bar on each floor.  As it gets warmer, outdoor seating is available: a fine opportunity for a refreshing glass of beer and a view of the river to cool you down in summer heat.
