Hob Nob Café

The Hob Nob Café has been serving Missoulians since 2002. Located in the heart of town on the Hip Strip, it is a small cafe with a menu that features freshly baked goods and coffee.  It offers fast-paced service, a friendly atmosphere, and a delicious breakfast and lunch/brunch menu.  Whether you’re looking to dine here with friends or for take-out fare, brisk service will promptly get you where you need to go. 

What should I eat at the Hob Nob Café?

Near the register, the blueberry muffins and scones caught our eye. The blueberry muffin is served nice and warm with melted butter on top. The veggie burrito is too good not to have if you are trying to cut down on meat eating. It is filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, zucchini, broccoli, tomatoes, and other vegetables and is topped with melted cheddar. Side dishes include sausage, hash-browns, avocado, toast, yogurt, or fruit.

Have you ever heard of banana bread French toast?  We hadn’t until until we went to the Hob Nob Cafe and it is unforgettable! This amazing breakfast dish is banana bread cooked the same way as French toast, topped with powdered sugar and syrup and served with a side dish of choice. Sourdough French toast, topped with powdered sugar and syrup, is also a must-try. A personal breakfast preference is yogurt with fruit and granola, so we enjoyed one of the best yogurt parfaits we had in a long while. It was light, sweet and the perfect amount for a morning sweet tooth.

Final thoughts on this restaurant

Portion sizes are just right, but I recommend going with an appetite big enough to try a few different dishes.

The Hob Nob is a cozy cafe with a quiet atmosphere where friends can gather for good conversations and enjoy a healthful, homemade breakfast or lunch. It’s a great start to the day. I was very happy with the food and service and will be going back soon for more.
