Kolache Depot and Bakery
Review by: Roadfood Team
Most travelers on the I-45 corridor from Dallas to Houston have seen the signs and most will not stop. I was once one of those. But now when my hunger will not allow me to get to Bill’s Fried Chicken in Corsicana, (or it’s a Sunday when Bill’s is closed), I make a beeline to Kolache Depot and Bakery.
What should I eat at Kolache Depot Bakery?
No frills here, but a great and varied menu of real kolaches, not too sweet and priced right. Oh, and the savory sausage filled are amazing, too. In addition, they have a great selection of items like Louisiana meat pies, taquitos, breakfast tacos, and the most righteous hot link sandwich I have had in a very long while. This link is a course ground 5:1 tube with an amazing black pepper spice that puts the hot in hot link! Ok, so there is the red dye factor, so I can’t live on them, but it is worth it! Yes, it is in a gas station. Yes is is only one minute off the highway at exit 251B. Yes, you have to get some food at Kolache Depot and Bakery! *original post by Jay*
