Cheese Biscuit

There are two meanings for cheese biscuit. It can be a biscuit that sandwiches cheese (perhaps along with bacon or ham and eggs) or a biscuit that is laced with cheese. Parmesan or sharp cheddar, maybe along with herbs, transforms what is an elemental breadstuff into a full-flavored companion for chili or hearty soup. Some southern cooks use pimento cheese, which creates an especially creamy biscuit well suited for sandwiching a sausage patty or a slice of country ham.
