Lori Rice

Central California

Lori Rice is a photographer and writer with a passion for food, drink, farms, and travel who is based on California’s Central Coast. She has traveled to over 25 countries including some time spent living abroad in Brazil, eating and drinking all things local along the way. In 2020 she and her husband welcomed Waverly the camper van to the family. While they don’t have dreams of living the full-time van life, they do make time for regular trips across the country while working remotely. Lori’s work has been published in The Coastal Table, Culture Cheese, CIDERCRAFT, and SIFT. She’s the recipient of a 2019 Food Writing Award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals. Lori is the author-photographer of two cookbooks, Food on Tap: Cooking with Craft Beer (2017) and Beer Bread (2020), both published with The Countryman Press.
