Rum Cake
Rum cake is most likely to be found on the menu of Latin-American restaurants. At Jamrock Caribana in Warrenville, South Carolina, it is intoxicatingly rummy and glazed with chocolate or caramel sauce, or both. At Smokies Cuban Cafe in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, it is a small, individually-sized vanilla-flavored cake sopped with so much rum that an accompanying cup of strong Cuban coffee is a much-appreciated balance.
