Coffee Milk

Coffee milk is like chocolate milk, but coffee flavored – fairly mild and easily drinkable with any meal. It is Rhode Island’s official state beverage, served in diners and cafes, and it is sold by the can and bottle in every convenience store. Add a scoop of ice cream to coffee milk and you have what Rhode Islanders know as a coffee cab, short for coffee cabinet. Whir those ingredients together and you’ve got what the rest of the nation might call a coffee milk shake.
