I have never eaten at a hibachi table or experienced this sauce, and I have dined in Japanese restaurants all over, as well as lived in Japan since I was a teenager. This is some sauce that someone came up with in the US to please American palates. While I am a fan of mayo and many mayo based sauces, I just can’t see this complimenting actual Japanese food in any way, (hibachi is something I never even saw in Japan). I don’t believe I’m missing anything.
