I certainly appreciate the recommendation and it sure does sounds good, but I can’t imagine going to Wiscasset and not eating at Red’s Eats…..no matter how long the line is!
But at Sprague’s they put lobster salad in a roll and call it a lobster roll. [:D]
My wife and I stopped in Wiscasset in June on the road to Bar Harbor. Our plan was to join the Q for Reds Eats, but instead we drove on a short distance to Sprague’s Lobster on the opposite side of the road. It was first class, a big lobster roll and fries and fine coooked fish and chips, all enjoyed at their picnic tables and to the accompaniement of Cajun music. It was a first for my wife and she is a huge fan now. I’m sure Reds lives up to its rep, the q testified to that, but Sprague’s is well worth a visit too. One of the best outdoor eating experiences we have had in our many trips to Maine.
