Bills comments about the water are not all "tongue in cheek". Using any variations in ingredients (for locally prepared items) can certainly affect the final outcome of the product.
While I like the slushes and Fruit aides at Sonic I noticed a flavor difference at some areas that can be attributed to the "flavor" or mineral content of the local water supply.
I find it funny you assume they’re using a recipe…we call it corporate food…comes frozen out of a box and gets fried, no thought required.
The key thing about chains and why people go there is familiarity and consistency of their quality. McDonalds is expert at this. Once they have a good formula, the chain doesn’t want any variance.
It’s the water they use to mix the instant hamburgers and chicken[:o)]
I can’t say that I’ve experienced much of a difference in taste around the country from any of the general chain restaurants.
can someone in here please explain to me why i can eat chillies food franchise in va an nc and then come to desmoines ia and order the the same thing on more than one occasion an it taste totally inferior.the same thing with popyes chicken kfc sonic and a couple of more franchises.i thought franchises made you stick to the recipe.ihave been going to chesters chicken here in desmoines and evertime i go it gets worse how hard is it to follow a simple recipe that is already made up.do any of you have this promblem when people cook for you all
