I know this place has been discussed here at some length but this was my first experience eating their kielbasa. My brother lives in Pittsburgh and brought over a few links of the smoked kilbo for Christmas dinner with our roast turkey and I highly endorse this kielbasa. I grew up on Kowalonek’s kilbo from Shenandoah, PA and it is an eastern coal region staple, but Wholey’s is a very capable substitute. It is not quite as garlicky as Kowalonek’s and the fat content is not as high. It is just a different attitude and very good. Just wanted to give them a shout out here. The brother also scored a few pounds of ribs from Wholey’s for New Year’s. They look fantastic. Can’t wait for New Year’s now.
