Just left Nelson B.C. and had a wonderful visit. What a great little town in one of the most beautiful settings ever. The suggested places were a hit–we really liked The Outer Clove being garlic fanatics. Also discovered Red Fish-a hip little place with a little of everything. A real sweet discovery–Nelson–great people too.

The All Seasons Cafe is well recognized as having great cuisine by anyone’s standards. I don’t think that tofu is served and roast bear is only when the local dump is closed and a few stray in to town[;)]. But seriously, All Seasons does a great job of what it calls "left inner coast cuisine".

Hey, you’ll love this town! I can think of two places. The All Seasons Cafe’ has a wonderful wine list, FRESH food and the chef really knows how to prepare the regional fish. It has a beautiful outdoor dining area too. It’s tucked away in an alley and sorta hard to find, but worth the search. Just ask any local. The Outer Clove on Stanley Street is fun and if you love garlic, it is your dream. Have a Skookum time in Nelson!

Thanks.I’ve actually been to Revelstoke and had the best steak I’ve
ever eaten. I have a feeling that Nelson will be more about tofu.
As an aside,I have been inundated by emails from this site-I’ve
taken my name off everywhere and anywhere I can and contacted the
webmaster of this usually junk and spam free site. Too bad as I enjoyed the newsletters.

Actually, I’m no help. Last time I was there was 20 years ago. I remember some lodge-type places that had good steaks near Trail and Cascade. Also, if you get over to Radium Hot Springs or Revelstoke there were some good bars that had good food. If you want elegance you’re only about 100 miles from Banff and the Banff Resort. Or you could fish for your supper.

That’s pretty funny,oneiron339. I hope to find something other than roadkill,as I won’t be armed.

    1. Kill a bear.
    2. Roast over open fire.
    3. Enjoy.
