VAsils, Amy & I stayed in Jasper last summer and have two recs for you: http://www.roadfooddigest.com/post/2009/07/27/Roadfood-Cross-Continental-Day-29.aspx North Face Pizza (very casual) and http://www.roadfooddigest.com/post/2009/07/27/Roadfood-Cross-Continental-Day-30.aspx Fiddle River (casual, but more pricey). Both were wonderful in their own ways. The above links are from our RFDigest posts. Enjoy yourself up there — it was our favorite Canadian place, hands down! [8D] Chris
Am having some difficulty finding good Roadfood around Jasper, Alberta. Plenty of info on Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, etc. on this site and elsewhere, but not Hinton/Jasper area. Anyone have any ideas of where to eat? I’m fine with Tim Horton’s for breakfast (actually crave their cheese tea cakes), but lunch and supper are wide open. Our last trip there about 10 years ago did not leave us with good impressions (food related, that is). Any ideas are most welcome.
Thanks for the recommendations. Extremely helpful!
You have to eat at Karouzo’s Steakhouse when in Jasper! We eat there most nights whenever we visit. Try their Beef or chicken souvlaki if you like Greek food. Their steaks are amazing as well!
Is the Jasper Park Lodge within your budget. It’s one of the finest resorts I ever visited. We ate dinner there 3 nights in a row.
