Sorry for he delay. I love suspense & had to bake a pie.

    Ken…

Benanti’s is right off Broadway @ 22nd St. Mi Quisqueya is on Broadway between 16th-17th Street. It’s a great place! Everything is always very fresh……lively colors up & down the long line of selections…delicious & so inexpensive. I believe that big serving was $6.50.

Well, you’ve now covered all the bases—B, L and D.
I generally only eat 2 meals a day. Breakfast and Dinner or Breakfast and a mid-afternoon lunch. Usually a simple sandwich.

    Whew, CC–thanks for the reprieve!!

Lunch today was from the counter at my favorite fancypants grocery store, Draeger’s.

About twice a year I’ll splurge on their marinated tri-tip and asparagus polenta, which undoubtedly has cream in it.

You forced me to have fried eggs for lunch.

Toast instead of waffles and no fried chicken, not that I wouldn’t mind it.

Ha!  We are sure different, you and I!  I would have gone for the fried chicken first, the waffle second and the eggs…….not at all!  Also toast…….not at all………too soggy.  I like English muffins because each bite is crunchy!  Chacqun a son gout!!!!  [:D]

CajunKing – You could always try what my grandchildren do. They live in town during the week due to activities, sport, friends and school, but they come home for weekends. They just pour all of the partial boxes of cereal into one box, shake it up, and go from there. They don’t much care for Grandpas Shredded Wheat nor oatmeal with brown sugar, fresh cream and butter. However they will eat great grammas home apple fritters any day of the week.

I can get the dark mole in a lot of places.  What I’m looking for is incredible mole sauce that I want to tell the world about.

I used to get a good mole by my shop.  Armenian owned Mexican restaurant.  Loved everything about it!
