We’re buried in snow and freezing, so we’re doing comfort food. Cheesy corn-potato chowder with homemade herb foccacia.
Mar, I never would have thought of it either, but it makes for an incredible taste!
Tonight I totally phoned in dinner because I’ve gotten spoiled with this whole going out thing. Frozen stuffed clams, frozen green beans almondine, and cottage cheese. Whatever. At least I don’t have to buy my own drinks tonight at the bar!
Last night we had grilled http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/food/2014/06/04/oh-mama.html Bahama Mamas with Schmidt’s own horseradish and mustard, accompanied by homemade potato salad. We split the last piece of Key lime pie for dessert.
Yes, Sam’s Club hot dogs are excellent.
Yesterday was an exciting day for me as I watched ET-94, the fuel tank from space shuttle arrive by barge in Marina del Rey
Because El Torito is now sharing its parking lot with the fuel tank I had their special… All you can eat enchiladas. I only had the two on this plate and didn’t eat the beans or rice. The rice tasted like they made it with way too much powdered chicken base which was the prominent flavor. The enchiladas were good and filling.
Washed down with a margarita
We’re craving burgers so tonight we’re going to…https://www.facebook.com/CravingBurgersLLC Craving Burgers! The chef/owner has himself a http://www.gazettextra.com/20160102/craving_a_bunless_burger_new_edgerton_restaurant_can_help pretty good thing going…
A favorite….is that a close up…or those meatballs are a bit bigger than mine, which are about the size of a nickle.
That’s a real close shot. The polpettine are about the size of a nickel, some a little smaller. They’re a royal pain in the neck to make but worth it in the end!
lleechef’s roasting a chicken, and we’ll be having it with butternut squash. I think I’ll have cider with dinner.
How did Lisa prepare the squash? Lately my favorite has been cubed, tossed with olive oil, salt and pepper, fresh thyme or sage and roasted in the oven.
Thanks, Mar! This one isn’t that big a deal, I’m just having the screws removed from my right foot because they’re bugging the heck out of me. 45-minute outpatient procedure, about 10 days off work. But they have to put me under for it, so I’ve been given rules.
They both look good. Thanks for the link.
I can’t help wondering whether it might be a good idea, considering all tsores you’ve had, to get folks from the gas company and the electric company sign off on the work.

Nice meal, mar!! [8D]
I microwaved some Andre’s spaghetti with mushroom sauce that I usually have in my freezer.
Thanks, CK and mar! I just had one more day on the brutal show, and from now on I’ll be checking the calendar ahead of time and putting in as unavailable for this one. Spent the better part of a week on cement for long days, and every part of me is screaming. Hope your knee is better, CK!
Tonight, however, instead of cooking I reheated the boxed potatoes, and added a banana, a white flesh peach, and a fiber bar.
Ooooh that looks good!!!
