I’d rather be up at this hour than depressed at it.
Better Elated Than Never, Ort. Carlton in 30601-land.
P. S. This friend of mine used to collect depression glass. I always wondered why she never looked for elation glass….
I’m on the road and about 8 hrs ahead of many of you, on stand-by and bored.
Trust me–there is a tomorrow. I’m already there.
Half the time when I post late at night, I usually have at least a bottle of red wine in me…..
Whats that old saying?
"Thou shalt not drink and post?"….[:o)]
Or is that email?, or make phone calls?..
Oh hell…. all of the above…[:I]
increasing your post count? (too funny!)…
I was pleasantly surprised to see that I have over 1000 posts now. I guess that makes me a certified Roadfood.com addict.
Oh well, it’s 2:30 am here in NJ, and I better get some sleep.
Don’t want to be too tired dealing poker tomorrow!
sweet dreams, everyone!
I’ve always been a night person. I’ve only had a few dayshift jobs and I hated them…..I’ve worked 2nd shift and 3rd shift almost all my life.
Never been a ‘DAYWALKER’but to each his own.
I do fall asleep/passout[xx(] every once in awhile…
I hate loosing sleep but whenever I am up late, or all night I like to increase my post count on Roadfood.com. Also work on my websites and then research commercial building to purchase
*sigh* Here it is 3:27am and I am NOWHERE near sleeping. My SO is out of town so I’m home and bored, there isn’t much work happening lately so I’m not tired from that, and I’ve already read one entire book tonight.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be much going on here, either…guess I’ll go see if I can find another book…
At 4am this morning, I was just turning out the light from another sleepless night of reading and doing crossword puzzles. Thank God I was able to tuck away a few hours of blissful sleep after that.
It is 4:00AM and I have already showered, shaved and whatever. I have been up and about for a couple of hours. Took the dog out and getting ready to go next door to Mamaw Smiths for a cup of coffee and read the morning paper.
This starts the day.

You know Sundancer I also have the auto 3-4am internal clock that wakes me, I can go to sleep at 1am and bang…3am I am up …wide awake. My sister has insisted (tons of times) that I take sleeping pills of some sort, tried them, felt like I a major hangover when I woke up.
It’s 3:53am at the moment and I have been up since 1am. I did the dishes and picked up the living room.
I have 3 dogs ( all female )(all sisters) (Sami,Ciara & Dixie)& 1 cat (of course female) ( Tittles).
Tittles gave up long time ago about following me around but the doggies are my shadows hahahah
I’m an actor, so being a night owl has been a part of me for so long. I’m at work right now. Most nights it’s slow so I catch up on a book or two, do some writing and catch up on my Roadfood, of course. I usually work the 2nd or 3rd shift and I’m still getting used to a new sleeping schedule. I slept about an hour last night, so I’m kinda groggy, but (mostly) coherent right now.
Here we are again…2:43AM
Time for a valium!
As a long time poster on Roadfood, It is amazing how many of our members are wide awake during the night. It goes on all night long. Roadfood never sleeps.
I often hit the rack early in the evening but I am awake many times during the night. It is then that I post to threads that interest me.

I rarely get home from work before 2am, so it makes sense for me. [:)] Of course, the bad days are those when I work until midnight or later AND have to be back at 8am, but I manage. Periodically I sleep 14 or more hours at a stretch to compensate on a day off. [:D]
CK: Speaking of the trolley, ridership has gone through the roof & there are
plans to expand current service & possibly add weekends.
Not much of a party person (usually asleep when midnight rolls around), but
one year in Dothan (1992) had a nice, quiet party with friends and wanted to
get back to Chipley before there was mayhem on the roads – going down 231,not
many heading in either direction, but I think I knew why….the parking lot
at Cowboys was packed! [:0]
The line in PC area is the county line between Bay Co. (Panama City) and Gulf Co. (Port St Joe).
I know this because my dad lives about 8 blocks from the line.
The pavement changes between the two time zones Bay Co. is smooth and Gulf Co. is rough.
I also know this because of New Year’s Eve…….
Celebrate in Gulf Co. at one of the local bars… Happy New Year !!!
Jump on the trolly and they take you over to Bay Co. (1 hour behind)
Celebrate in Bay Co. at another local bar…. Happy New Year !!!!
You get to celebrate New Years Twice
Twice the food
Twice the fun
Twice the DRINK !!
