My father and I operate a concessions stand business in Central PA. We sell Cheesesteak and Hot Sausage Sandwiches. We put a "Special Sauce" on our cheesesteaks that has become quite popular in our area. As an experiment we decided to see how it would go if made up some bottles of our sauce. Well it went great we sold our of about 100 bottles of it in a few hours of each of our shows last year. The response was great with lots of people calling us for more. We have finaly taken it to the next step and hired a co-packer to mass produce it. Right now we are going to try and sell it locally. I was wondering if anyone had some tips on getting this sauce to the market? Any suggestions would be great. I’ve already received some great help from this forum about co-packing. Thanks in adavance.

Good luck and don’t give up! We’ve had a couple of promising meetings with some local stores and a few other places. If you have a great product, it’ll sell itself.
Jeff – congrats on the new opportunity! My mom and I are also working on a similar "project"… through for desserts 🙂
The sauce is a Sweet & Sour / French Dressing type of sauce. Our most popular sandwiches are our Cheesesteak’s. We take minute steaks and chop them up real fine, add our sauce, melt white american cheese and add peppers and onions if the customer wants. The steaming peppers and onions really brings in the people. Another popular item is our Hot Sausage. Its made by Country Store Brands in PA. About 5 years ago we finaly found this awesome sausage. We usually serve it with peppers and onions and alot of people request our sauce be put on.
We also serve a chicken cheesesteak that is really becoming popular for us. We chop up chicken breasts as fine as we can, add sauce and white american cheese. Some people ask for peppers and onions also.
Just curious what other sauces people are using in different parts of the country. We are always experimenting with other sauces!! It keeps this whole concession thing fun.
We try to keep a maximum of two to three items on the menu. It makes it alot easier when your swamped!

For some reason it keeps taking the www out of my post.
Sorry guys zeidersconcessions.com is what it should be. I have heard from my co-packer and it looks like we are just about ready for production. We are very excited about this and we hope it pans out for us. I have heard from a few supermarkets in the area and we have some meetings set up for next month. I’ll keep you informed.
jman I sent you an email. I am very interested in your offer. I’d like to send you a sample to see if you want to check it out.

It works for me.
Hey Jeff when I went to your site it seems that it might be down or not setup yet
Jeff, tell us a little bit about your sauce. I wholesale a number of sauces, jams, honeys, fruit butters, etc. and might be very interested in looking at your sauce as an addition to our lines.
If I added it, we’d need anywhere from 150-300 cases (12 btls/cs?) per month. You can email me if you’re interested. [email protected]
