Phil, Scott Ladany, the grandson of one of the Vienna Beef founders, left VB in 1986 and started Red Hot Chicago.

And what is the reason for slaughtering bulls to make their hotdogs? Are they unable to perform?

    Well, not yet.

You better be careful, Michael. They’ll be coming for you next! [8)]

Have a package of Koegles ‘Vienna’ beef dogs in the fridge. Darn sticker (large price sticker they adjust to market price here) is over the ingredient listing.. Tomorrow when I simmer them up in some beer, I’ll soak off that label and report back..

Is it true that vienna hot dogs are made with meat from a Bull? I think the flavor is great. I never ate them before but I am now hooked by a local hot dog stand here in South Florida. I can not buy them in the supermarket. Is there another brand of hot dog comparable in taste to Vienna?
