The Beechwood is great, a kind of place you don’t find often out of the South. Go in the front door. If you turn to the right, there is a coffee shop type place with a great bacon cheeseburger. Turn left for white table cloths and flowers on the tables. This place has some of the best fried shrimp I’ve ever eaten, and the steaks are good, too. Late at night, go straight back to a country bar/dance place (What we used to call a Tonk). One stop shopping at its best!

For some good BBQ head for Goldie’s on Washington St. We used the Roadfood recommendation for that one and weren’t disappointed. Good brisket and pork…Now if those folks would just throw a sheep on the fire, they could be as good as the Moonlite, in Owensboro, KY. (Shameless Plug for local BBQ)[}:)]
